Bring the family to explore the tradition of maple sugaring right here at Beaver Creek Reserve! Learn how to decide which trees to tap, how to tap, and how sap is collected and boiled down to make that wonderful syrup we all love. Following a short inside program, you will create a tree tag to "adopt" one of our trees, then head down to our sugar bush for a tour! Here, you will be able to tap your own tree, and then visit the sugar shack where the sap is boiled down into syrup.

Also tour our Voyageur Cabin! Learn the rich history of the French-Ojibwe fur trade in the Chippewa Valley. The cabin will be set up as a traditional 1800s fur trapper cabin for visitors to check out. Our staff will discuss the history and demonstrate the tools of the trade, you may even be able to try some of the items that were once traded!

All ages & families welcome! Donuts & BCR maple syrup will be available from 9am-1pm to eat along with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Please dress for the weather!
