Planning a Visit

Group Use

creek lesson Beaver Creek offers the perfect place for schools and youth groups to come learn about our natural surroundings. It's also a great place to hold meetings or retreats.

Groups wishing to use the facilities at the Reserve need to make reservations by contacting the office during weekday hours. Groups may reserve space up to one year in advance and will be required to make the appropriate deposit (deposits are waived for school groups). Preference is given to groups that follow our mission statement. Please check for current rates.

School Groups

bird banding with kidsWe recommend that school groups reserve their dates as soon as possible. Keep in mind that late spring is very busy at the Reserve, so we recommend considering a trip during the winter or early spring months when things are not as hectic.

Naturalists are available to work with teachers to develop a field trip that is both fun for the students and also ties to their cirriculum. Please refer to the Field Trip and Activity Planner for more specific details.

When calling to reserve a day, we recommend teachers have alternate dates in mind as some dates fill quickly.

Scout, Church and Other Groups

Groups must provide proof of non-profit status to receive a tax exemption on their bill. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-serve basis with priority given to groups whose visit most closely matches our mission statement. Please refer to specific pages in the Field Trip and Activity Planner for information on rooms and group expectations.

Overnight Groups
