2010 Beaver Creek Reserve Photo Contest Winners
John Lauson took “Best of Show” with a backlit early morning scene on Duncan Creek in Chippewa County. Lauson also took first places in the “Man and Nature” and “Other Wildlife” categories.
Other category winners selected from the 213 photos entered were Hope Rutledge, Gary Anderson, Blake Johnson, Adam Johnson and Carol Knabe.
Photos for the Reserve’s 2011 calendar are selected from the photos entered in the contest. Calendars will be available early October.

Beaver Creek Reserve Calendar Photo Contest
It's not too late to start shooting photos for next year's photo contest. Contest entry deadline is Tuesday, July 5. Categories are:

Birds

Mammals

Other wildlife

Dynamics of nature

Landscapes and plant life

Man and nature

Youth category (16 years and younger)
Contestants may enter up to 10 photographs with no limit on the number entered in a category. Adult photographers will be charged $2 per photo; youth photographers will be charged $1 per photo. The winning photos will be exhibited at the Wise Nature Center from mid-September through mid-November. There is a maximum size limit of 200 square inches (12” x 16”) for each photo including its matting and framing.
Photos for the 2011 Beaver Creek Reserve Nature Calendar are selected from these entered in the contest. Photos are judged on technical quality, clarity, composition and intrinsic beauty.
