Hobbs Observatory consists of two domes with computer-operated telescopes, a large lecture room and a resource room. It features a digital camera that allows images from the telescopes to be stored on computer disks or transmitted to a video projector in the classroom. The observatory is operated cooperatively by Beaver Creek Reserve, the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire Dept. of Physics & Astronomy and the Chippewa Valley Astronomical Society. Special Programs: Every third Saturday of each month at 8 p.m. for astronomical programs put on by the Astronomical Society. Check the calendar of events for upcoming programs.
